Despite the efforts of the clergy, the exorcism was not an easy or straightforward process. The entity, which seemed to be growing stronger by the minute, resisted every attempt to remove it. It hurled insults and curses at the priests, and it even seemed to manifest itself physically, causing objects to move and strange noises to occur.
