The 2011 ThunderCats series followed the same basic premise as the original. The show was set on the planet Thundera, where a group of cat-like humanoids, known as the ThunderCats, lived in the futuristic city of Thundera. The main characters included Lion-O, the young leader of the ThunderCats; Tygra, the second-in-command; Panthro, the mechanic; Cheetara, the speedster; Snarf, the loyal companion; and Jaga, the wise and powerful original leader of the ThunderCats.
Despite these criticisms, the 2011 ThunderCats series developed a loyal fan base. The show ran for two seasons, with a total of 26 episodes.
